I suspect I am answering my own question here, but your input would be appreciated....

My '94 Vogue SE with EAS passed its MOT yesterday (another step nearer to her 20th year!) and the only advisory was a slight 'misting' of the rear shocks. I was wondering if this goes some way to explaining why the vehicle suffers from chronic 'bottoming-out' at the back whenever I go over speedbumps etc, at low speeds, with no excess rear weight and despite replacing all the airsprings earlier this year?

Does anyone else with EAS suffer this 'bottoming-out' problem and are some new shocks likely to be the solution? If so, any recommendations - the vehicle will not be doing any serious off-roading so comfort is the priority?

If it is not the shocks, could there be a problem with the EAS keeping sufficient pressure in the rear airsprings? Although I guess there has to be some 'give' in them otherwise they would just burst? They seem to work well and inflate quickly and do not sink when left for a few days.

Many thanks
