Rear Shock Bush.

Planning on changing my rear shocks soon.
Looks like they have been on a while and have a feeling that the top bushes will be seized on.
Any hints and tips for removing them??, so that I have an idea when I get to that piont.
Will be doing them out in the street so tools will be limited.

When i did mine i removed the top mounting bracket off the chassis then used an angle grinder to remove the bush. If you use a grinding disc to grind the inner tube of the bush thin you can then split it with a chisel, it saves cutting into the mount. Hope ot helps.

I used a crowbar behind the old shock and chassis, with a plate to 'help' the chassis take the force, and just levered one off. The other side almost fell off!

start soaking everything days before with copious quatities of penetrating fluid, such as wd40 and cleaning threads with a wire brush and you will be amazed at what will actually come off.
