I've had a search and I am not sure anyone has attempted what I am thinking. That probably means its a bad idea but I can't see an issue so please shoot me down if you can!

I plan to fit forward facing seats in the back, over the rear wheels, 1 seat on each side. Access to the seats would be climbing in rear door, walking between the seats and sitting on either left or right according to preference.

The radical element to my plan is to cut the wheel arch boxes forward of the wheel area in order to create a footwell. Since the wheel doesn't move forward of the axle, that space is not required for wheel suspension travel.

The rear tub is coming off for chassis repairs, so there is good access for fabricating the revised wheel arch.

What do the landyzone elders think of this idea?

so basically a 110csw without the back doors or the middle seat
Actually I bought the HT because I will be carrying bikes in the back. The CSW rear compartment is too short. I'll be fitting mounting rail like a bike rack along the lower part of the floor.

The seats are for occasional use but I want proper forward facing because I've been on a bench seat under emergency braking and I wouldn't want my kids to experience that.
