would it be possible to bolt somthing like this in the rear?! i dont own one so cant imagine what the floor is like in the back!

The only rear folding seat that has been proven to hold a child seat is made by Exmoor trim & is expensive.
Cobbling stuff together to hold a child seat just sounds dangerous to me. Unless you're an engineer with a background in automotive seating I personally just wouldn't do it.

As mentioned above Exmoor trim is the only route, if you are going to go with a ninety or series.
A 110 would give you the option of fitting the baby seat on the second row of seats, as they are factory supplied with seatbelts and compliant seating.
The seats you show are reinforced with integral belts but you would have to extend the seat mountings from the floor down onto the chassis and from your post I think you probably dont have the required engineering qualifications HTSH

The law forbids the use of a lapbelt to hold a child restraint in place. So you will need a 3point lap & diagonal belt. Securing the lower mounts is simple enough just take a look under a discovery to see how the lapbelt and seatbelt clips are secured through the floor, and then to the chassis. It's the top mounting for the diagonal part of the belt that gives you problems. the hardtop on a 90/110 or defender isn't strong enough and needs a specially designed mounting which is what you get with the Exmoor seat. Now it may be that you can find something that will do the job safely but you will then need to inform your insurance company about the modification and as you've changed the number of seats fitted you also need to inform DVLA and may even need an engineers report to certify that the seat meets C&U regs. which is 1 of the reasons the Exmoor seat is so expensive (the other is cause their ripping off bastids)

I wouldnt wana put kiddies in the back of my 90, side facing seats are dangerous!
Either stick em in the front seat, or get a 110, disco, rangie, freelander or other more suitable car!
