Rear seat (6+7th) side mouldings

Hi there
I am fairly new to the site but already in need of some advice.
I recently purchased a 5 seater 2003 disco with the aim of making it into a 7 seater.
I bought the seats from a breakers with the belts, brackets and all. They told me that they did not have the rear side mouldings that the seats bolt to but that it is easy enough to cut out and fix.
Thought okay and bought them, took them to my local garage and they said they can not fit them without the correct sidings.
I have looked all over and posted ads on different part sites but to no joy.
Is it possible to cut out the places needed or do I definitely indeed need to buy the side mouldings?
If so, does anyone know of any good sites where this may be possible.

I can't answer for a 2003 Disco but I'd bet any "moulding" is cosmetic.

Check with your insurers first - it's registered as a five seater!

All 7 seaters came with air suspension so it self levels with the extra weight in the back. You also need head rests, and as as already said check the legal side of things.
