ello mate,

donmt worry too much, yes you can replace the inside bit of the joint but if the yokes are buggered you'll need a new propshaft... here's a link to sort it ;)

i posted about this week or so ago, search my posts.
i bought new spider which is the bit that looks like a + . howver the cups which hold the needle bearings, and holds spider to prop and yoke that go on the end the the spider, were broken up and this caused pins to break up. the inside faces of the yokes were scored and were oval not round.

you can just replace broken bits but if other parts are sound then they will make new bits wear faster.
i replaced the whole thing. pleased cos i know that it wont go wrong for a while now. take it all apart and post some pics on here if ur not sure what ur looking for and we'll glady give advice, or in my case, crap advice.
get a manual and it will tell u how to take it apart if u got one. i use haynes but alot of people say they are ****.

Haynes int that bad realy, just a bit crap in places. F'rinstance Ive just done my swivles and CV joints. Haynes say to get a main dealer to replace the bronze bush and seal in the CV joint, The proper manual just sez hammer a new 'un in. Well not literally but you know what I mean. Haynes always start at the last part of a job and works its way backwards, so your better off reading the manual backwards!
