how long can i keep putting oil in as really canna be arsed to get it done as seems a lot of work just for a bloody seal, haven,t drove her for a while but was just wondering as apart from that she is mint:D

it'll never get any better! i see things like this get left at my work all the time, once had a hydraulic fan motor was lossing 60 litres of oil a day (fan blasted it everywhere) but it was seen as an "acceptable" leak and the machine ran on until the hydraulic pump failed, then it was still seen as an "acceptable failure" then the generator the engine was driving didnt get its cool air supply without the fan going so it was running red hot.... fook knows what state that machine will be in when i get back!! :(

just sort it before the arse falls out the seal and yer loose all yer oil and kill the engine! :D

:(:(:(:(:(
not what i wanted to hear but i sort of knew that would be the answer, how much would seem a fair price to pay as there is no way i could do it

not sure really, i've never bothered with gettin garages to sort my stuff, hence my collection of wrecked motors!! :D

maybe worth phoning round for quotes, though i just put an engine block away to get new bearings pressed in and my quote was "it nay be too dear"..... great!

Are you sure that it is the seal gone?
I changed mine a while ago when I changed my clutch.
Not too bad a job to do but Bdooly fiddly.
I used an old set of feeler gauges to get the cork gasketts in place.

pretty sure it is the seal as doesn,t seem be coming from anywhere else and thats what the guy at landranger said when i took it in couple of months ago, although he didn,t quote me a price to fix it
