My old man swears by Jif although they dont see it anymore you have to
use that Cif stuff instead I am told it is very similar!

I go for that - applied gently with a scouring pad it gets biro off
leather (or it did when the friendly dealer used his biro to point to
the ignition key on my brand new Volvo when I picked it up :)
