Fitted the new lift pump today.
It was a simple job except the new pump did not have the brass compression
olives in the box with the pump and new gasket.
Of course by the time I discovered this the old pump was off the Disco, and
the local supplier was about to close.
A quick phone call to my son to run me up there. We made it with minutes to
spare.

So to anyone replacing a lift pump check for the olives before you
dismantle.

Sorry, I forgot that. Nuts also missing on the Paddocks
replacement I got so had to cut the pipes off the old one (which
I couldn't re-fit when I found the new one did not fit without
bending the pipes!). The gland is a standard one as used in
plumbing so a builders' merchant would probably have one.
