Is that the steeplejack with a traction engine fetish? Saw a program on him
some 30 years ago, fascinating fellow. But wouldn't want to be married to

Not any more, passed away last year, the Dreaded C caught up with him.
Since then his programs have rarely been off the air. Beginning to drag a
bit now.

They were a big chunk of the UKTV History channel on January. This month
it's more the geology and geography, series like "Coast".

Part of UKTV "building our nation" or some such like season. Met him
at Peterborough a couple of years ago. Nice bloke, gobsmacked by his
following, another "non-celeb" like ray mears Also nice to meet some
one about my height!!!!
