Allow an hour a side max, assuming that no problems are found. 15
minutes to strip it, 20 to change the races in the hub and 15 to put
it back together again. Bearings friction welded to the stub axle, for
example, take much longer to sort out, but if it's a straightforward
job and he's charging you, say, 3 hours or more labour he's taking the
****.

Certainly I've managed to do both sides of an axle under 2 hours. I
had a wheel nearly fall off on a IIA, and I did hub bearings and
swivel bearings & seals that side in an hour.
