Yep, steel indeed, but not a simple job, very labour intensive.

Just the usual cambelt niggle and the "has it had the mod kit or not"
question.

No real issues with the 4 speed auto at all, just don't leave it running in
P or N for excessively long periods or it'll knacker one of the internal
seals/shafts.

Seem to be better than early 110's, they rotted like buggery! Check the
strap over the tank and it's bracketry at either chassis leg, the rear body
mounting riggers, they are usually the first places to show signs.

I compliment you on your choice of at least one of your dogs, we had 2
rottie's but we lost them both over the last 2 years to bone cancer. New
rottie pup arriving in 2 1/2 weeks, cant wait! House seems empty without a
black and tan hooligan!!

Heater blower motor switches on the earlier ones, done 4 now! usual
springs/shocks/swivels that go on any coil sprung landy.
C'mon, Austin, you must have a few stories, you've got how many in the
family?
