's out of date. Pontardawe is now defunct, sadly, as it was an excellent
site. Summat to do with the landowners getting paid more for doing sod-all
to it than PORC were paying.

Llanerchindda or rather the operators there have a local reputation here for
a cavalier attitude to private property and non-legal lanes. Various
reports I've had of driving where they shouldn't, poor control of dogs and
so on. I've also seen the results of heavy over-use of what turned out in
the end not to be a byway, and not to have legal vehicle access - however,
the damage is now done and will take decades in some cases to recover.

Mind, last I heard is that the bloke at Llanerchindda was moving abroad.

having said all that, I don't doubt that the management at Llanerchindda
will plausibly distance themselves from actions of others, and indeed they
say on the website that they don't do guiding themselves, OWTTE, but
nonetheless, they've been promoting the area heavily and bear at least
partial a moral responsibility, IMHO.

I can honestly say that there's only ever been one person I would NOT
like to find myself meeting IRL... (and that's not to do with my own
safety...)

further to this, I've been sowing the seeds with sister's BF who has enough
space to make an off-road course, if he CBA to do it.
