Hi all, i'm new to all this so if I may ask for some advice.

I have a Range Rover Sport V6 2.7 (2006) Last week on one very cold morning (-6) I went to start the engine on my normally very reliable car & nothing. The engine spun over as normal but no sign of life. I called the AA. The technician the attended got the car going & when asked how, he told me that the ECU was showing low fuel pressure. (he wasn't a normal AA man he was ent as he was part of their Jaguar/Land rover response team) With his onboard computer he had "fooled" the RR ECU into believing that the fuel pressure was ok & there we have it...engine running. It was suggested that maybe some water had trapped in the fuel filter & iced up causing a temporary pressure loss. The filter was changed & all went back to normal until this morning.

This time, AA was called again. I waited for the outside temperature to rise & tried again, no luck until the outside temp was above freezing. AA man attended & suggested that it may be the fuel pressure sensor giving a low reading whist the sub zero temperatures as the electrical resistance is high when temperatures are low.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this that would help. When the engine does start is his as sweet as a nut.
