I have just changed the engine in my range rover and things have gone quite well for a change it even started first turn of the key however I now have no rev counter and the light on the dash that looks like an injector is on I have tried changing the crank position sensor but still made no difference and I'm now questioning myself if I have or could of fitted the fly wheel the wrong way around as if PCs has nothing to pick up on any help on this matter is appreciated I'm starting to pull my hair out now

Have a look at the number 4 injector needle lift sensor. Not sure if that would affect the rev counter but could certainly give you the injector light. Probably need to put it on the diagnostics.
