Hi
Hope someone can help , and apologies in advance if I have posted the thread in the wrong section, (Am a bit new to this).
I have a RR L322 td6 on a 2004 plate. When the outside temp is cold the air out of the centre vents is fresh. If the car gets warm and the outside temp is say 20 degrees I can have it set to auto, turned down to min temp and the dial in the centre vents turned to 3 blue blobs and it just blows in warm air, hardly cools it at all. The hotter it is outside the hotter the air blown in.

I have had air con regassed and my local indi LR garage fitted a new "hedgehog" last yr. they have checked it and can see no faults on the hvac system according to diagnostics.
They now want me to call in a specialist h&v agent but can't help think this may be something simple that other RR owners have come across .

Any help would be much appreciated.

If your air con is gassed and working the pipes will get cold wet and some times frost up. if it has no gas the elec cluth will not engage.
It may be your hot water control valve not shuting off, you can have hot air with air con working , its to dry the air for de missting

Hi Spunka

Thanks for the reply. I have run it today and checked and no the pipes don't get cold or ice up. At best they are cool. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Now check to see if elec cluch is engageing ,If not its pob out of gas or your preasure switch not working or a wire broken to it,
If it engages it could be your dryer or that reduceing vave

Check power to switch then join them , if it kicks in and gose cold its switch
:hippie:

theres a pump runing off a engine drive belt.
if you loook at the pully when engine running and air con running the whole lot should turn , somtimes kicking in and out (thats normal) if you see the center not moving the elec cluth is not engaged and the pump not pumping

Get it gassed by a professional garage first, they will add a dye to the system so if it leaks you can find it. If there is a hole already it will show when they try and vac it for the regas. If it doesn't work after this its generally electrical
