Hey Guys and Girls.
Hopefully someone can help me out here.
I've got a 2004 Range Rover Vogue with the BMW 4.4L V8 petrol Auto.
What has happened is that an aftermarket Radio has been installed and all the items in the rear have been removed.
So now the actual tailgate is getting almost no power. I cannot open the bottom half of the tailgate via the switch. I have checked the switch and it is receiving 12v and the switch is confirmed working via a multi-meter. Now then if I bridge the switch connector nothing. If I however bridge the actual motor locks with 12v they open right up.
The number plate lights in the tailgate are also not receiving 12v with the lights switched on. So it appears apart from the 12v to supply the switch to open the lower tailgate section nothing else is getting 12v.
I've been through all the fuses both front and rear and none are blown.
Also the air suspension is not working not sure if that is related. Was going to see if I could get codes read for that issue but again it might be related.
At a bit of a loss here and not sure if it could be CAN bus related issue.
