Hi all , please help, my rangey is running crap on gas and nor great on petrol, I know it if petrol side is running bad then gas will be loads worse. So first off I have checked plugs and passengers side bank was very sooty cleaned and put back.Checked leads in the dark can't see any sparks of blue anywhere, taken maf lead of ran better for a few seconds then went bad again, Had new lambdas put on a couple of months ago . it runs and starts fine untill you need the power, then it just seems to have none and does'nt rev very well.Also had a bit of popping from exhaust.

My dads 4.6 has the same symptoms, passenger side bank plugs dirty, hes fitted new ones and appear to be over fueling on that bank as when he took new ones out again they were soaking with petrol, and his does the same wether on petrol or gas.

hes took it to his mates garage and diagnostics brought up cam shaft position sensor, so changed it for a known good one and no change, still says same fault, so changed sensor again, and still exactly the same so he seems to think its something else electrical.

hes taking his to a specialist after the snow clears hopefully to find out what it is!
