No answer elsewhere, so here it is here:
knudsen said:My wiring diagram is real good until it comes to the stereo. The colors all all wrong compared to the real deal, the wiring in the rig. I pulled the radio, cut off its wiring and frisbied it. So, I verified the accuracy if the pins with a volt meter, where voltage is expected, and a battery to maker the speakers pop. Pin-out is correct. So the only problem I have is with the speaker phasing. It is not on the diagram, and the speakers themselves have no "=" or "-" on them. Well, not the one I pulled (upper door). What I did observe was a black/white stripe on one side and a black on the other side. There is a dot punched into the terminal next to the plain black wire.
Puting two and two together, I guess the dot is "+" and the white striped wire would be "-" as we expect on most speaker wire. Assuming the last foot of wire matches the diagrams, this would make the odd pins "-" and the even pins "+".
Can anyone confirm my guesstimations and assumptions?
If anyone runs into the same conundrum and wants to see my chicken scratch diagram I drew up, they are welcome to it
TIA!
