Radio works fine but the display is hardly visible.
Anyone know what type of bulbs are used in the 95 HSE radio and where to get them ?

Thank's Fred

Not sure which type bulbs in there but if you take it out and can't get one post a pic as i've got loads of different bulbs from dismantled stereos, int switches ect and i'll see if i can match one up.

there called "grain of wheat" bulbs, the right hand side of my radio was dull, the channel change end, i got some bulbs from maplin but the smallest they did where twice the size and obviously didn't fit!.

the ones i ended up using are the back light bulbs you buy from LR for the dash switches, the ones in the little green holders, the bulbs come out of the holders and they have worked a treat in the radio! remove the green covers from the original ones and fit over the new ones before you solder them in.....
(i think they had covers, cant remember now?)
£1.25 each but they did the trick just fine!

Thank's for your replies Gentlemen but now its dark and I can see what's happened it's a different story.

The LCD appears to have all the larger segments alight at the same time but at a reduced level. zero's with crosses in them. So I could not see it in daylight.

Any ideas?

Fred
