Hi,

I'm pulling the carpets out of me Disco this weekend so they will dry along with the roof liner and whilst I'm at it I want to protect the floor from rusting.

I have waxoiled the cars under side, so I wanted to do something at the people end of the car without it stinking to high heaven.

Does anyone have any ideas, I was toying with poring used Oil inside but the missus says her dogs wont like it.

Here's what its like at the moment, not to rusty and I don't want it to get worse.

Chris

Personally, I'd strip it all out, wire wheel the rust away, blast it with red oxide then re-paint if you're keeping it as an every day family hack.
All depends how far you want to go, really.

Just don't use anything you'd normally use on the underside of it like I did and then have a tar-like mess every time the temperature goes over 25 degrees.

Next summer, I'm stripping the inside back out again (doing away with the carpets this time) and blasting it with 3M anti-chip coating before having it painted.

Ok, I have found the issues with the floor getting wet and a little rusty.

I took the roof lining off yesterday in the ****ing rain and got a nice shower from inside the car, with the roof's closed when I pulled the headliner down?

Looks like my Disco has leaky roofs and roof bars. So if it's ever dry again I'll fix this up, then hopefully the carpets will stay dry. Any thing I was balming the digs for getting in wet.
