Hi I am in the process of rebuilding my 1972 series 3. In doing so I have purchased a 1982 Series 3 and have been using some of the parts (which has not been straightforward).
In short I have the original engine & gearbox (diesel engine) and taken the axles with dis from the newer vehicle because the previous owner had refurbished them with new brakes too.
When we went to refit the prop we found it is about 5mm too short....
Other than replacing my old axle & diff (which need refurbing) is there a simple fix such as a spacer or will I need to get the prop extended...?
