Hello. I have just joined the forum. Santa brought me a 1970 Series 2a Rolling Chassis SWB with Diesel engine and box. I've restored 2 Landies before but now going to build up this one. First job is to strip it back, weld new outriggers and tidy up previous front and rear repairs.Look out for photos as it is carried out. I need a complete bodyshell with steering box/wheel and electrics including firewall (bulkhead). If you know of any in Lothians or Borders or North Nothumberland let me know. Series 2a or 3.
The Landy has a blue engine so presume ex MOD recon unit? Looks like the outer parts of front hubs are missing, I bet it had freewheeling hubs on.

Thanks for the welcome Landy1UK. Well its Boxing Day and freezing outside so its a job for the garage with the heater on. I will take some photo's today.

Hey Barmatt, I travelled down to Norfolk last year in an escort van to collect a Landy engine, I was after the old style diesel injectors but ending up taking the whole engine. Drove 24hours solid, never again. The bags under my eyes looked like dugs baws.
