He has never actual said but it was a hint its the RR 1 which probably wont fit, but also we dont know what the flywheel is either which was asked in tother fred.

Hope he can sort it.

Does the Chevy have the starter dog on the crank I wonder? I was changing the points on my 3.5 Classic many years ago and a plant mechanic walked past and said you'll be lucky to start it with that,dizzy cap back on, ignition on and a quick crank....I said crank and she purred like a good un. Guess he didn't realise you only have to turn the crank a few degrees to have one cylinder to fire.

Maybe @blue beasty can merge these 2 freds

Cos it could get confusing with 2 of the same on the go.

The Bosch starter on the diesel is ever so slightly different and might be worth a try. Pretty cheap off the Bay.

Yes, I used the Stock Chevy flywheel
and the stock Chevy starter.

We decided today to go now with a TH700

Can I ask why?

Cos that gear box will not be easy to get with the transfer box end surely?
Although I don’t know the box.
