Hi,

I am hoping to purchase a pre-2000 Discovery, and wondered what specific issues I should be looking for to hopefully own a reliable 4x4.
Or should I be looking for a newer model?

Any info appreciated

Welcome to the landyzone phil but you should look in the disco section not the defender section
 
Would prefer a defender but they are obviously more expensive.
