Power Steering issues

Hi there,

My 90 has been having slight issues with power steering. The power Steering seems to be a bit internmitant. It looks like the resovoir has been leaking, when I checked the levels the fluid it has gone really bubbly.

The steering box itself appears to not be leaking but I may be wrong.

Any ideas ???

mine on my TD went all bubbly and lost fluid, turned out ther was a leak in the pump. see if thers any sign of a leak round tht.

ok will have a look tomorrow. Mines a 2.5 td too. Am I right in thinking it has the four bolt pump? I have found a overhaull kit. Do you know how easy this is to do?

I've been reading up a lot about this. I am unsure whether its the pump that leaks or the box?? It appears to be leaking a lot now. Seems to be leaking quite badly now (small puddle underneath)

I want to start taking it to bits Saturday but not sure where the problem lies.

Any advice would be very welcome!!!

it's usually the box, but wipe it clean first just to make sure

STC2847 is the seal rebuild kit (4 bolt version)
