power chip issue?

Hi all

My first ever post! I have a 2000 TD5 which has just had a PSI chip fitted. It works great ,except low speeds I have this terrible "kangaroo-ing" (is that a word?) particularly in 2nd/3rd gear and at any speed pressing or lifting the accelerator results in a bad transmission snap. I have different opinons from 2 sources, 1 says the chip is to blame and 1 says the chip has shown up an issue with the transmission. Any suggestions? I have 1 month warranty left, but don't want to go to the expense of removing the chip before I hand it in if I don't really need to claim.

I might be talking rubbish and might not apply to your particular year of disco, but I've been told it's best not to fit external upgrades and to have the ecu re-programmed/remapped. I haven't had mine done yet, but I have been in a 2002 td5 that has been re-programmed and the difference is amazing.
