I have been told by that nice mot man that i have no servo action on my series 3 swb diesel. i have replaced the servo and checked the buttlerfly valve and checked all the hoses. but i still seem unable to create enough vacuum to operate the servo. has anyone got any ideas
cheers spike

Hi

I have you checked all the connecting pipes including under the clips for breaks/perishing?

Have you checked the master cylinder and all the pipe unions ?

Was the servo new ? A new servo can be faulty. Does it have the correct servo on ? (I mean if you replaced it did the previous owner replace it with a incorrect unit)

If all these are working correctly then you will make correct servo pressure

Servo, Master cylinder, brake unions, pipes, calipers, associated pipes and connectors.

Hope this helps a little

Servo isn't an MOT fail. Brake efficiency is.
If servo is new, then pipes failed. (unless pedal misaligned etc) Inlet sucks. Servo works. (unless servo stuffed, but new servo so unlikely) Therefore pipes failed.Replace.
