Paddocks Spares - Chocolate Teapot Service

Anyone else used paddock spares? Just gone to buy a Mantec steering guard and front and rear diff guards. Their website says free delivery over £60 and that they price match however you can only get the price match if you call and if you do call you can't get free delivery????

If you can get them cheaper elsewhere get them elsewhere

Work it out.... You either want free delivery or you want them cheaper .. but does the cheaper price match option also offer free delivery?

If you order online there's no messing, no human interaction, so free delivery can easily be made (and paid for) ...

If you call then human interaction (and it's inherent extra costs) is involved to work out what you want and process it correctly etc, so Free Delivery isn't an option .. easy really.

The Free Delivery does work, paddocks just works, I can't recall ever having an issue, and I've spent loads there. Cheap and cheerful or Full on original quality from the same place is a 'good thing' in my book.

As BB says, if you can get them cheaper, get them cheaper then ... It's called choice ...

That was a pointless response, I'm pretty familiar with how commerce works. My comment was that they advertise free delivery and price match but you can't get free delivery if you call for the price match and that's the only way the get it. My comment was on the false advertising and customer service.

If the price you want them to match doesn't include free delivery then it's not a cheaper price.

Unless of course you go and buy it over the counter in either place which you are free to do.

Free delivery isn't free, they factor it into their price.

Did you ask them why free delivery isn't available when you call? Tend to agree with you in the respect that there are nearly always "buts" attached to advertising/offers. It can be frustrating.
Edit....just read BB's response and agree as regards free delivery cost should be included in price match.

yeah they said it was only available online and the other place included delivery in the cost. No biggy just annoying when they advertise it on there website

As you say, no biggy, but want to vent your spleen. Been there

. Things like "Next Day Delivery" doesn't come next day. When you call them (not Paddocks) you get "yeah mate, you didn't tick the box for next day delivery mate"

If they both include delivery then paddocks should match it but to be honest if I found I could get the same product cheaper somewhere else I would.

Now if they offered to BEAT the price it might be worth faffing around

Yeah I often forget I've forget what I've ordered if I order loads of different items from different suppliers so wanted it all from paddocks for the paper trail. As meego says I was just wanting to vent some anger and have a moan.......I like to moan

False advertising

You've just saved me creating a thread. I ordered 2 Mantec roof bars from them, they took the dosh then told me they'd be a couple of days late. Three weeks later nothing. They refunded quickly enough but why do they always say they have certain items in stock when they blatantly don't. I'm never using them again. Went to Craddocks and they got me a pair in 2 days.
