p38 wont start

Hi, got a diesel p38 ( I know why??), bit of history, car always ran, locked went shopping returned refuse to start, checked over, engine speed sensor fault, replaced, went working away, car battery died, returned used key to unlock changed battery car wont do anything, engine wont turn over gearbox dosent send info to dash screen, replaced engine ecu( told they die if no voltage maintained to them)still wont start but now turns over,gearbox talks to dash, car will start using a Vauxhall omega engine ecu but wont drive, car is alsoan auto, all help gratefully welcomed.:scratching_chin:

I've never heard of that.

Sometimes if the battery voltage gets low the BECM and engine ECU loose sync with each other. It an immobiliser fault. You'll need a diagnostics system or something called a syncmate to re-sync the two.

Put your old ECU back in, ensure the battery is good, and re-sync the ECU.

Sounds like that's your problem. Where are you, there might be someone nearby that can do it for you. It only takes 2 minutes.
