Been monitoring the coolant use for a while now, it uses about a half inch worth of coolant (on the
reservoir) for every thousand miles or so. It never overheats. I had a look near the interior heater &
it's a bit damp & it does smell slightly coolant like. I'll have the plugs out tomorrow to see if any
look a bit clean! I'm hoping it's the heater o rings (I have Andy C's easy repair) & not the dreaded.
Mind you, Badger tells me if it is the liners they can be permanently fixed with top hat liners. At £800
or so quid, it's cheaper than a new engine. Mind, it's £800 I aint got if it is that. I was gonna buy an
old ex-army for proper off roading. Might be on hold if it is!!
There's a possibility the wet in the car is caused by the bozos at Autoglass as they shagged my new
windscreen & it leaks, but not there!!
Any ideas on either would be good?
It's a 96 4.6 HSE.
