After tackling my first job (Heater Core O-Rings) in the first weeks of ownership I've tracked down another coolant leak at the water jacket inlet to the Plenum on a GEMs engine. Has anyone seen this one before as I was wondering whether its a readily available gasket before I strip the Bad Boy to look.
It's a good job I strip and repair Apache Helicopters for a living as I probably would of thought P38's were unreliable. lol. although I seem to have got more than 1 drive before a fault occurs unlike the Apache.

Advice would be preferable but whatever floats your boat. I see you live in Germany RASHEED. I lived there for 10 years and married and divorced a German girl for my sins. I seem to remember being told if you couldn't pull an English girl why not marry a German. Lol

I think I've just nailed the problem. I've mis read the workshop manual and it's actually just the throttle body heater jacket inlet leaking. I just need to source a replacement spares package and I think I'm sorted. Thanks again Malcolm. I'm hoping this will put to bed all my faults for now.
I have moisture in one exhaust on startup and I'm hoping this isn't the dreaded liner so I've put off looking at my sparkplugs on that bank.
If it is then so be it and I'll have to sell the alloys that came with it to finance a turner block.
To be honest although 22" alloys looked good, I'm glad I replaced them with standard 16s and cross tyres.

:doh: Chill dude. I've probably more sins than you then as have been married and divorced to an English girl then a kid with a German one who now acts like she hates my guts! Glad you've sorted your leak.

Tip (possibly to late) no matter how good it looks and feels it maybe dodgy, always put a coat on it before you push it in. Moral EVERYTHING IS DODGY.

I was only playing. Everytime there is a possibility of kids I think of the advert with the kid throwing a tantrum in a supermarket about not getting any sweets. There is the awkward looking father and cue the product. Condoms.
Eventually all German girls will treat you as though your guilty of a Capitol crime for the smallest of things.
As a squaddie I find life to short for that and so a divorce and a move back to the UK followed by life with a relatively low maintenance English girl worked. For stress and my high maintenance fix I've now got a P38.
I'm just hoping that fix isn't going to involve a trip to turners for a new engine block.

Me too!! :doh::doh::p:p :D

Don't regret the kid for one second though. She's just marvellous, not yet two and bright as a shiny new penny. The only cloud on the horizon is she's going to grow up to be a German woman and they are rather as you have described..
