Yeah ive got two small free flow silencers instead of the cats and then the centre silncer. Outside the car its still loud and in my opinion the tone is almost spot on. But once you close the windows and cruising on the highway with some music you have to listen carefully to hear the exhuast.

Unbolt your exhuast just after the Y pipe and have a listen, that will probably be roughly what a straight pipe will sound like. Ive done this and its very loud, to the point where i want to stick my fingers in me ears if you just tap the throttle while standing outside the car.
I think you have the right idea , it's my daily car so I can't go too loud . 👍👍👍

When you go off-roading it’s common to squish the rear box(es) after a sharp descent, so I had a single straight pipe only at the back for years.

decided in end that even with only 6 cylinders it needed the middle box and a rear single.

Worked out fairly cheap too compared to twin exhausts
I have been told converting to one pipe improves sound , not sure if that's true?

Depends what sound your looking for. Mine wasn’t v8 but system will fit. Less to break and spend was my thinking.

^^^ mid pipe will fit v8 if you do go no mid box though
I am trying to go for the muscle car rumble rather than race car as it obviously far from fast.

I'm just looking for a stainless steel version of my current set up mid box in and back box removed

Mid section stainless will be easy enough to find wether it’s a box or delete. Rear section stainless with no box would be harder to source. As you can see from the above pic my boxless rear section was diy cut off an old exhaust. You can tell by the ring on the end - normally bolted to the front part
