Hi guys, i,ve been trying to find a link about the climate control. The link to do with the fix for the distributor flap fix with self tap screw. I cant seem to find it and i've checked RR.NET but maybe i've missed it.The problem i have is open book on hevac and the dash vents operate as follows the passengers side blows hot but drivers side blows cold so was looking for this link to assess all info before making my mind up as to whats wrong with it unless you lads know what the problem is.Also outside temp reading seems to be wrong .cheers :)

Its generally the blend motors that get stuck in one place. I have the book of cold feet now and again, I found that a long trip (i.e midlands to west sussex generally works for me!!) tends to sort the issue out. Also if you remove the small triangular vent cover by drivers left ankle and have a look around that area you will find a rubber drain pipe, pull it off the drain on the back of the air con unit and push a piece of wire down the hole, mine was full of water. This blocked drain (another on other side too) stops the whole system working as it cannot drain waste water away!

good luck!

This rubber drain pipe are these the ones that exit underneath the car at the back of transmission cos that is one of the items that i was going to check, was also thinking of spraying Wd40 down the vents to see if that frees it up before attacking the blend motors. But if only drivers side is not working is it worth replacing all blend motors or just the affected one.Still checking all threads so i can line it up for weekend in the garage.Just finishing exising problem of RF receiver playing up.
So thanks for advice so far.

yes the rubber drain pipes are the ones that drain onto the top of the gearbox, the rubber flap tends to get clogged some how. I clear mine with a piece of net curtain spring as it doesn't catch on anything. o As for the blend motors, i dont know sorry havn't had that issue yet! good luck

Cheers for that tip Andy, you were right they were blocked and now been cleaned out, sorted the hevac problem and now just need to get new outside temp sensor because it must think judging by its reading, that it is in Spain or some other warm place.
