hi all i have owened my 1996 p38 diesel manual for 6 years and it has had a sticking valve for that time ..every time i rev it past 3000 rpm 1 of the valves sticks for about 2 mins then it recovers ...i have just put on a new turbo and now after two weeks its died,,max pressure in the sump.. i think that the pressure from the new turbo ( still standard ) has made the valve stick open a sligt amount which would allow the pressure to flow through and down oil and cam chain holes thus presurizing the sump ...dont think its the head gasket but i will have to change that anyway when i remove the head .....anyway my dilemma is do i pay and have a engine out of a donor car at £650 or have my head re skimmed and re valved which is £200 pounds but then if it turns out to be blown rings after all the head work im f----d :doh: ps sorry about the spelling
