Hi,
I have an early P38 DT.
Following on from an earlier thread about the P38 alarm system, this must have its own battery (cos it goes off if you disconnect the main battery). Is there a recommended period after which this battery needs replacing? If so, what does it involve?
How difficult is it to replace the glowplugs? I have the workshop manual but reading about it isn't the same as doing it (I can do brake pads, oil changes and the like). Does this qualify me?
I have an oddity with the wipers and wonder if anyone has seen the same thing. There is a switch to change the intermittent wipe rate. This works fine when going to a slower rate but going to a faster rate the wipers seem to have a mind of their own. They will do 2/3 quick wipes, then wait, then do a couple more quick wipes, then wait. Not a real problem, just curious if my cars the only one!
