Hi,

Firstly thank you all who responded to my previous topic on what to look for when buying a p38. I took all of your advices on board and I am now a proud owner of a 2000 4.6l RR :)

I have driven it now for 4-5 hours in total and although there are some minor issues that I need to take care of (window regulator/ sagging roof liner/ blend motors/ water leak into the pollen filters) nothing too serious :)

Now I am planning on using the rover primarily off road (this will be my weekend toy) and as such I am keen to putting some MT tyres and raise it appropriately.

The rover has already been converted to coils but these are standard height so I’d like to lift it so that I can fit some 33” Cooper Stt Pro tyres (285/75/16) which I have already agreed to buy in principle :)

So to the point - from my search on the forum and various groups I am thinking that as a minimum I would need to buy +50 springs (Bearmach?). I don’t necessarily need to change the original dampers do I (i guess that just means that I’ll have less rebound than what the springs will allow)?

Some owners report that even with a 2” suspension lift their front tyres (of that size) still rub at full lock and compression - would an additional 2” body lift sort that problem? I couldn’t find a clear answer on that.

Do I need to be concerned about any lines (brakes/fuel) or anything else at that lift?

Many thanks in advance! :)

Will also knacker your front propshaft.

You get 2" whenever you need it with the EAS, notwithstanding it is normally the diffs that foul.

A guy did a very good post a few months back on which tyres fit and whether they rub on full lock.

For modding, especially with coul springs, you might do better on rangerovers.net. People tend to mod cars more in the States. They have more room to play for a start.
