P0715 Code on Auto box Help

Hello all

I had a problem with my 2006 2lt diesel auto freelander.
It would not change gears correctly and F 4 was displayed.
Gearbox showed approx 7 error codes majority solenoid based.
I have since had a secondhand box fitted.
Picked the car up yesterday to find F4 again displayed.
If i turned off the ignition it would clear .
It would appear again at approx 25mph and not change above 3rd gear.
Took it back to the garage code P0715 Turbine sensor not connected.
Looking at the connector plugs 14 and 10 pin . some of the wires on the 14 pin plug 2 x red and 1 x blue have been damaged when the box was fitted.
The garage say they will rewire the plug ,
My question is if the plug is rewired and issue still arises , how easy or difficult is it to replace the turbine sensor if eventually this is needed.
I have a good sensor in the original box that was removed.

It's sounds like the wiring was at fault before the auto change. Yer can test the wiring and sensor yerself. Follow the info and video in the following link to another fred with similar problems:

Yer garage should have done these tests before changing the auto as part of their diagnostic steps. Sadly some don't and it's costs a lot of money to change the auto.
