Overnighter Camper Trailer Build

It has a six inch fan on the other side. Sucks out now rather than blowing in to cool the generator. The row of holes you can see as the inlet got me thinkin . Mechanical air out (equals) vent air in (minus) variable blast air.

In other words when the trigger is pressed air pressure could rise more than extracted air resulting in particulates escaping through the ‘in’ vent as well as the ‘out’ vent. I may need a strip of leather over the row of holes inside as a one way valve.

Being too tight to buy blast media when a bag of kiln dried sand is pennies, I was trying to avoid breathing apparatus to avoid silicosis. A bit of flexible ducting on the fan cowl to the outside would just give it everyone else.

Still rummaging through bits buckets trying to find a LED driver for the lighting and a 240 switch. At least the fan is 240.

Oh, and two metal foot scraper/doormats fit great for a grate.

Today I will mostly be fitting the generator exhaust system next door for when my new 10kw unit arrives. It’s a diesel in a quietener box so should be acceptable running in LU2 while I’m in LU1 dickinabout.
Not that I’m tight but paying over fifty quid for a ‘marine’ bulkhead exhaust fitting is against my good nature. So I made one out of scrap.
I think my 10 year old half tin of high temp crinkle paint is past its best. Dint half pong when I put it in the kitchen oven

Are you still married after that, I think the instructions make it very clear that you are not supposed to put it in an oven you will be eating stuff from.

I never eat from the oven. Only a plate. Burns ya ruddy tung.

Looks like the lockups are ready for further tinkeration so I celebrated this afternoon by getting out the windows.
If you remember, I disliked the idea of aluminium frames on the inside as everything else is copper or bronze with a dash of brass ere n thure.

Started foiling the frames with copper. Only managed three with two to go.



Obviously once looking bright and new, I’ll be lashing acids and the like all over it to make it look more lived in.

The opening window has a disgraceful catch in aluminium flavour so I’m going to have to invent one in brass or something.
The original is that bulky it was never going to work with the blinds coz of its huge dimensions.

That's good stuff, that copper tape. We use it to stop slugs attacking the young plants around the garden.
They really like potato leaves, and hate copper

That’s all the windows foiled. Now I can’t find my liver of sulphur. Not that it has a shelf life. Looks like I’ll have to order a little bottle of fresh stuff.

Decided the windows will be going in before paint. The timber is already waterproof and it’s easier to mask off a window than a hole for the glazing of.

Back at work on Wednesday so back to the usual timetable.
