There's some good stuff on there. I've only had a quick look, the metal
that melts in hot water looks fun!

Neat stuff, but look for a book called "Vacuum Bazookas, Electric
Rainbow Jelly and 27 Other Saturday Science Projects"

The vacuum bazooka will fire a water filled film cannister over 100 feet
(straight up)

ah, if we're getting into the realms of projectiles, look up
"kartoffelkannon" (german for spud gun)

now we're into the sort of technology that the army will be looking at!

Bruce says the book sounds interesting and he's had a quick look at the
website.

http://yucky.kids.discovery.com/flash/index.html has some pretty good
experiments. My lot liked the plastic milk and the rubber bones ones best.

Seems we have another activity for the next unofficial 101 northern

Ambis with compressors will be welcome.

I remember making something similar with a length of 6" drainpipe, a
frozen grapefruit, a spark plug, coil, battery and a tin of Lighter
Gas. Sufficent power to put said fruit through a door at 50 ft.

Tricky bit was getting the gas/air ratio correct.
