Opinions please

Just wondered what your thoughts are from you guys that have or have experience of the Freelander.

In particular its the Freelander 1 2.5v6....

A friend of mine is looking to buy one and I wondered if you had any good/bad info of this model/engine

usual issues , however remember that the engine is still a K series and therefore has all the same problems with head gaskets as the 4 cylinder model's only twice the expense , get a td4 and be done with it . OR a classic rangy .! just a thought ..... lol

Thanks alot mate, I just been reading about the head gaskets on the k series, sounds expensive!

no problem , yes unfortunatly , as an ex mechanic , a k series 4 cyl head gasket job is about £450. and a 6 cyl job over £ 750 .
