Hi folks, after a bit of bother logging in, I think I`ve managed it. The first Landy I bought a lot of years ago was a 1951 short wheelbase. I forgot to mention it to her indoors and when she saw it she told me in plain english that she was not going to ride in that thing. Feeling very brave I told her that it was ride in that thing or walk. After about 2 hours she decided to give it a go. Needless to say that since that time we have had land rovers, then classic range rovers, then discos and finally our present vehicle which is the much maligned P38. I have had it for over 2 years now and apart from changing the airbags and buying the hotstart fix it has been great and I don`t care what other people say about them. I still like the series 1 landy but for comfort and economy you can`t beat the diesel p38 and when you get to our age, comfort and economy are of the utmost importance. Sorry for rambling on.
P.S It was 46 years ago when it all started.

Hi folks, thanks for the welcome.
Does anyone out there have a pair of P38 running boards for sale. The cheapest new ones I can find are at Paddock Motors where they are £150. 00 plus Vat. Is this a decent price?
