Hi everyone.
I'm new here and desperately seeking some advice.
I own a 2004 discovery 2 td5.
The other day I hit some rather deep flood water on the road faster than I would have liked to but didn't see it until it was too late so I catrried on ploughing through it.
All was fine went home parked up and left it until the next day when we was going Christmas shopping.
When I started the engine up the oil pressure light was on. So I took it straight to my garage who was just getting ready to close as it was Saturday but they looked at it anyway.
They said that there was water in the oil pressure switch so cleaned it but that didn't work.
So the poor mechanic went off in his car for nearly an hour to try and get a new one for me. He came back empty handed but then noticed they had a discovery in the garage forecourt so he took one from that discovery and put it in mine and that was it the light went off. I drove the car for around 3 hours yesterday covering around 100 miles and everything was fine. But just gone to go out in it now and the light is back on.
It's due to go back in the garage tomorrow for a new oil pressure switch so that the one in mine can go back in the discovery we leant it from.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated as supposed to be doing a 650 mile round trip to see the family for Christmas and starting to panic a bit now.

Thanks in advance.

You have posted in the right place in the disco section. Your questions are there but you have copied the extra web page bits which are not needed. Doesn't matter as yer can still read it.

Sadly most disco owners won't read it until late in the evening when they get recovered home or finish welding.

Thanks for replying to me.
Good to hear I've done something right today then even if it is a little bit wrong lol. Hopefully someone will be along soon then to give me some reassurance or bad news.
Cheers
