i posted a couple of days ago, but im still confused as hell.

dec last year my head gasket went, it was blowing compression on Number 4 cylinder, gasket was replaced about 4 weeks later.

immediately after when the engine was worked hard by towing or long runs, when i would idle the oil light would flicker, i'd shut it down try to restart it and the engine would be hard to turn over,

my initial thought was glazing on 4th bore, (because of running on incomplete combustion), but that doesnt explain the low oil pressure, or does it?

im presuming that there is not enough lubrication and one or more pistons are tight on re-start, could it be oil getting too thin when warm and not getting around the engine ie oil pump seals on the way out, and this has caused glazing hence the smoking

stem seals been replaced, valves re-seated, car has 205k miles on the clock, 300tdi. also replaced oil pressure switch, oil pressure relief valve, injectors and plugs, has had basic service, including air filter, oil and filter, fuel filter.

as many opinions as poss please folks, much appreciated.
