oil leak in air filter

disco TD5 1999 gs (AKA PAIN IN ARSE!!)

coming out of work today i noticed a oil patch under the front N/S corner when i looked closer noticed the air filter box drain and the area around it covered in oil.
any idea's what this could be??

or should i just get rid??

errr you know i've never checked

only had it a month
