daughter came back in the series 3 last night and parked temporarily whilst we moved cars around.

got back in to start it and wouldn't crank - battery fully charged all electrics working - so we ended up towing it into a better position.

went out to look at it this morning and it cranked fine, something to do with the heat and connections?

One of the famous 'dodgy earth' issues ?

The easiest way to check poor earth is if/when it does it to clip a jump lead between battery -ve and engine block.

I've had other occasional starting issues from corroded batt to starter feed resulting in high resistance and a dodgy isolation switch.

Whatever it is itll be the last thing you think to check....

So check that first :D

I shall check those bits out, waiting till the sun goes over the house early afternoon it is absolutely baking out there and the drive itself is too hot
