No NCB build up with AF classic policies?

can you quickly outline to me why i accumulate no, no claims bonus on a classic policy?

Would it work out cheaper to just have a normal policy and accumulate NCB?

Do you take the fact of a lack of claims into consideration when people on classic policies renew?

Hi Ed,

A lot of classic insurers will use policies that are 'Non NCB rated' - Reason being people will tend to have classic vehicles as second, or even third vehicles which means they often don't have any NCB available to use on the policy - Once apon a time meant insuring second vehicles was extremely expensive.

This means that on a classic policy that isn't rated on NCB, you could have 10 years on it, or 0 - and the price would still be the same.

We can also 'Mirror' NCB, which means you can keep NCB on the every day car, and then mirror the discounts onto a second vehicle, meaning you can leave your current NCB alone, but still get a discount on a second policy.
