can anyone suggest how to remove the those bloody seatbelt bolts that screw into the bulkead.?! In the course of trying to remove them, 1 extension bar has snapped, 1 Halfords pro spanner has bent, my last two drill bits have snapped and both bolts decided to snap in half and remain firmly screwed in!!!  I suspect the only option left is to purchase a decent set of metal drill bits and try again.

So I have two questions for you clever folk, firstly would someone kindly recommend a set of metal dril bits, a good set that will do the job without braking the bank. Secondly, what size bolt is required to refit.?! Hopefully toolstation or screwfix will stock them.

As all ways thanks!! :)

Screw into the bulkhead? I'm not 100% sure which bit you're talking about mate.
The ones at the side of the seat for the buckle?
Or the ones that hold the seat belt reel to the tub floor behind seat?

Ah good point mate, yeah it's those that retain the small seat belt latch type thing which screw in to the tub floor behind the seats. :( it's driving me mad!!!

Aaron do you know the size bolts required? I'm going to have fork out for a parts catalog I think, I hate to have to keep asking about parts. :)

Ah, so the seat belt reel bit.
They're actually studs which are part of the seat belt mounting bracket that bolts to the chassis.

Like these. Guess theirs no reason why you couldn't drill them out and put nuts and bolts in instead.
They're only m8 studs originally.

the seat belt stalk bolts...that screw through the floor at the middle of the bulkhead...that screw right through to the outside so they can rust never to come out :)

They are some fine thread but youd be better to replace them with the proper bolts as your life may depend on them one day.

Seat belt stalk bots are 7/16 unf.
But I was under the assumption he was talking about the ones that hold the real in place which are m8 studs.

Sorry mate, it's my thick hamfisted way of trying to explain a problem.
From what I can gather, I require a 7/16 UNF Bolt Dog-point 35mm thread 17mm Head 8.8. I think that's right!  :)
