I am an Australian doctor volunteering at a teaching hospital in Mwanza, Tanzania. A couple of years ago I bought a 1993 Discovery Series 1 from a departing engineer. Apart from him the previous owners had not treated the vehicle with the respect it deserves. Now it is stranded on the hoist of the local agent while we try to locate a reconditioned transfer box. It may be necessary to ship one in from another country.
