newbie needs help

my trip into landrover ownership is due to subscribing to a popular monthly publication and added to a fun day at a pay and play site. my current daily workhorse has been a 1995 terrano but whilst at said 4x4 site i gave the turbo some h20 result 1 shattered turbine so after much diliberation i became the owner of my 2004 disco td5 ah i hear you say problem being it was purchased as a damaged repairible and not up and running yet ,various bits had been borrowed before it came my way air flow metre and maybe a rad hose so here is one of my dilemas at the bottom of my rad there are two outlets maybe 1" diametre on o/s but i only have one hose availible so which is it top or bottom outlet or am i missing a hose as i suspect, be patient as i will be asking lots of questions some maybe daft but im hoping for some enlightenment thanks mark
